The Person behind the practice

The “Why” Behind What I Do

Communities That Fuel My Passion

Communities That Fuel My Passion

There was a time when I felt unheard — isolated, overwhelmed, and misunderstood. It left me feeling lost, filled with self-doubt, and unsure of where to turn. If you've ever felt the same, you're not alone.

I've seen firsthand the stigma that often surrounds experiences like substance use, domestic violence, and trauma. Even the act of reaching out for support can sometimes be met with silence, judgment, or shame.

That’s why I chose the path of counseling.

My goal is to create a safe, compassionate space where you can feel seen, heard, and supported. I’m here to help you rediscover your voice, work toward your goals, and move forward with strength and clarity. Together, we can challenge stigma and create real, lasting change.

I’m deeply honored to walk alongside communities that inspire me every day. These groups hold a special place in my heart, and I am committed to supporting them with compassion, understanding, and respect:

  • The LGBTQIA+ community, whose resilience and courage inspire me continually

  • Military service members and their families, who sacrifice so much to protect us all

  • First responders and their families, the everyday heroes who face challenges head-on

  • My fellow Aggies and the Texas A&M University family — Fightin’ Texas Aggie Class of 2000! Whoop!

  • Those on a personal journey to find their voice and reclaim their strength

  • Helping professionals who dedicate their lives to caring for others and deserve support themselves

Each community fuels my passion and purpose, reminding me why this work matters so deeply.

Communities That Fuel My Passion

Heart, Home, & Hobies

When I’m not working with clients, I’m living a life full of connection, creativity, and curiosity.

I’m a proud mom and wife, and I deeply value time with my family and friends. I love being outdoors, exploring nature, and capturing special moments through photography. Music is a big part of my life, and I’m always learning — whether through experiences or meaningful conversations.

At home, I’m kept on my toes (and constantly entertained) by our three beloved pets: Emma and Shep — our playful, energetic “Super Pups” — and Ami the Super Cat, who rules the house with quiet confidence and just the right amount of sass.

I’m a proud Texas Aggie and the wife of a Marine Corps veteran. These parts of my identity have shaped who I am and how I show up in my work. I carry the values of loyalty, service, and community into everything I do — both personally and professionally — and they continue to guide the way I support and connect with others.
