Why Did I Become A Counselor

Communities Near & Dear To My Heart

Communities Near & Dear To My Heart

In the past, I have felt as if I did not have a voice. I have felt alone, trapped, and that others weren't listening to me or that they could not understand my situation. This led to feelings of self-doubt and feelings of being lost and confused. Maybe you have experienced something similar.

I have also witnessed the stigma that in many cases is associated with substance use, domestic violence, and other traumas as well as the stigma that is present for some when they reach out for help.

This is why I chose the field of counseling. I want to help others feel heard, find their voice, achieve their goals, and experience the peace they are seeking. I want to help fight the stigma!!
